Uganda is a continuously developing East Africa nation with a population of approximately 33,000,000. It is landlocked but has the second largest fresh water lake, and the source of the Nile River, providing hydroelectricity and a source of livelihood. The second largest city, Jinja, is where the team is and is easy to travel to. The ministry will be conducted on the islands of Lake Victoria.
Uganda is a conservative country. Men: long pants, collared or casual short sleeve shirts for church services, no shorts. Women: only long dresses or skirts, no shorts, jeans/pants, tank-tops or revealing clothes.

Ministry in Africa is physically intense and care is inadequate and sometimes unavailable. Individuals with health concerns should seek medical advice. Rough roads, intense sun, heat, and lack of medical facilities are factors to be considered. Malaria prevention medicine is recommended.
Please note that if you have ongoing needs of medication management or counseling related to depression, anxiety, PTSD, or sexual abuse, these resources are generally unavailable and you should consider applying at a later time.
