Job Description:
Will you find the lost and hurting? Do you have what it takes to disciple the faithful? Jump into the island world that is predominantly away from Christ. SWEEP the message of hope to the 4 million people. Share the gospel and find those hearts that are turning towards God. Disciple the faithful to do the same. Do you have what it takes to see this island worship the creator? "Give glory to the Lord and declare His praise in the islands” Isaiah 42:12. The team goal is to S.W.E.E.P. the city: SEEK the lost WIN them to Christ EQUIP them to be effective followers of Christ EMPOWER them to reach and disciple others PLANT new groups and churches. Of the 4 million residents of this metropolitan area, 98% are far from Christ. Your daily task will be to intersect with 98% for the sake of the gospel and the 2% to disciple to reach their countrymen. You have an opportunity to impact the eternity of those you meet. Do you have what it takes? If you do not jump to this island, who will?

Cultural Information:
South Asian culture revolves on gender roles and dress is reflective of this. Life here is very relational and family centric. Be prepared for invitations into people's lives, including their home. Expect to share a meal with someone, but expect to work amongst your gender. Religion is also central to most South Asians. It is an easy topic so prepare yourself to make this part of every conversation.

Geographic Information:
South Asia contains various geographic contexts. From sea coast to the Himalya Mountains, be prepared for a third world country where development is not the primary goal. Most settings will be high levels of pollution. The mega cities and rural areas alike face this issue.

Available Housing:
Most likely an adequately furnished apartment or guest house will serve as your home.

Health Considerations:
Severe, untreatable asthma is very much a concern here.

Should be able to navigate through crowded cities for long hours. Will require standing on your feet and walking much of the day. Severe allergies or history of severe medical conditions must be confirmed with field for approval.

Equipment to Bring:
Be prepared to "dress up" in comparison to your home culture. Guys will be expected to wear long pants and button down shirts and ladies will be expected to dress in national clothing. In some mega cities, ladies will wear more western influenced.
