Job Description:
Would you like to make a difference in the kingdom of God? We are looking for someone who will work alongside an existing team in reaching students through English and lead them to become reproducing disciples for Christ.

Cultural Information:
The city is in southwest Zala County, about 30 minutes west of Lake Balaton. It is apx. 55,000 with 78% report being Roman Catholic. It is the only large city within an hour to the surrounding smaller cities and villages. The city is primarily a blue-collar city with a population that grows in the morning and shrinks in the afternoon as worker and students come in and out of the city. Weather is generally mild, though summers can be hot and snow in winter. The food is good and people friendly. Most Hungarians believe they are Christians. This is because the Catholic Church gave its official blessing & crown to St. Istvan (Stephen) the first king at about 1000A.D. Istvan declared that the country would be Christian and dedicated it to Mary. Yet Hungarians generally do not go to any church, especially among the younger (40 and under) groups. IN a city of over 50K there are 8 churches of any kind. We believe less than 1% have a personal relationship with Christ.

Geographic Information:
Small to medium city

Health Considerations:
One thing about Europe in general is there appears to be more people who still smoke, especially among the younger ages. Winters here can also be a bit grey with limited sunshine. Getting around in the city will be primarily by walking.
